Because I watch a lot of TV at night once everyone else has gone to bed, cranking up the volume isn’t an option. But sometimes, even if I watch in the evening, I have to turn up the volume to hear softer dialogue, then turn it back down when there’s loud background music or booms and bangs in an action show. This frustrating is something most people have encountered at one point or another.
