Working from home for me means panicking moments before meetings and telling everyone in the house to be mindful of background noise while I’m on the call. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had to apologize for my poor mic quality on these calls, which sounded unprofessional because of the ambient noise — especially the loud fan noise in my room, which I can’t really turn off in peak summer.
